At this point a special thanx goes out to Manfred Kurth from Mission EineWelt (he supported us in all the various challenges of getting us going), Philorian Mpendaye (the general secretary of Ulanga Kilombero Diocese, who set up the agenda for our visit and arranged all the multitude details in Tanzania), Bishop Mtenji ( who I can't wait to meet in person) Dean Jochen Hauer (deanery of Freising, who backed us up and supplied the financial resources) and my team - the Dekanats Mission Ausschuß (Deanery Mission Committee) who spend so many ours to keep our partnership to Tumaini alive for so many years. all our bags are packed we are ready to go...
... as John Denver once put it (leaving on a jetplane) we are very excited to start our huge journey to Tanzania. Actually talking about myself I am far from having my bags packed. Being a parish- priest you will always find bits and bobs to do so I see myself rushing to the airport tomorrow with an half- opened suitcase in my hand, shirts and socks hanging out of it at the left, while my lovely wife is running after my trying to make sure I have everything I need to survive. I am really Looking forward to go on this trip with Eva Geisel (parish of Erding) and Miriam Ostermaier (parish of Oberallershausen) on my side. After so many emails, letters and phone calls in the last year it's about time to see "the promised land" with my own eyes.
